| The Chicago Woodturners have been organized as club for more than 22 years.
Membership has been as high a 200, and a typical meeting draws about 80 attendees. It's a perfect
opportunity to meet other Woodturners from novice to studio artists. Visitors are always welcome
as are new members. Our meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month starting at 7PM. We
meet in the basement of the Palatine WOODCRAFT store. This gives our members a perfect
opportunity to stock up on needed woodturning supplies prior to the start of our meeting. Our
club offers a mentoring program to individuals that feel a one-on-one experience would enhance
their learning. In addition, our monthly meetings include a "gallery" review of members projects.
It's a time to get needed feedback on individual creations. Following the review a club member
holds a demonstration on a topic of their choosing. The demos are intended to appeal to a wide
range of turners with different levels of experience. Our club is a friendly place to learn and
share ideas with other members. |

AND CONSTRUCTION TIPS. THE GALLERY WILL BE REVIEWED BY ALAN CARTER. |
